Who I Ought To Be

flourish

It’s all coming back to me
Who I was and who I yearned to be
A gentle soul hidden out of sight
I was born. I was raised. I was loved
I wept in the arms of a significant
A gentle being with certain promises
I see now how blessed I was
Today, how fortunate I am
Recognizing the meaning of a past
For I know who I once used to be
Remembering who I ought to be
Once I let go of fear and judgement

Happy Monday.
