I promised a ‘thank you’ to those who nominated me. The last time I received a blogger award I had time to write a proper thank you post and time to go through my blogger list to pass it on. Now with the summer over and life back to “normal” I can barely find the time.
Let me point out that I’m new in the blogging world. But to be honest, I’m not sure I completely understand the meaning and purpose behind certain blogger awards. I find it to be a tiny bit time consuming. For now, this is the best I could do for my fellow bloggers.
I want to thank Gursimran Kaur for the nomination. I appreciate the support and recognition. And for that, thank you!
For me it’s more about writing than blogging. I encouraged myself to start blogging to face my fears, demons and insecurities. Writing and blogging has given me a sense of meaning and calm.
Who I nominate?
That’s a bit tricky. Like I’ve mentioned previously, there are so many other bloggers to recognize, all unique, good and talented in their own way. So, for that reason and the fact that time has been a factor in my life lately; I suggest you take a look at the list of bloggers in my previous post in accepting the nomination for the Recognition Blogger Award back in July. Or check out some of the bloggers I follow on the right side of my blog – “Join The Community”.
For this nomination, I thank noblethemes for the recognition and support. It’s all highly appreciated.
Apparently, a part of accepting this award is answering some questions posed by the person who nominated you. I’ll try my best, since it’s midnight…and I’m a bit tired.
1. If you had the power to make one change to our world, what would you change?
More human connection.
2. What do you consider the most meaningful social change to come out of the 1960’s?
— I have no idea, right now I can’t think of anything. I’m sure something meaningful came out of the 1960s…
3. If you could time travel, which era do you want to go and why?
— The 70s – the disco and hippie era. And of course the 90s…
4. Who is or are your role model(s)?
— My mother and Oprah Winfrey. In general, women who’ve come out on top despite obstacles.
5. What did you want to do when you grew up and what are you doing now?
— An author, doctor or a dancer. Today I’m a social worker, aspiring to become an author.
6. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time, and what will you be doing?
— On top of the world with my goals and dreams in hand.
7. Why do you use social media?
— To connect with friends who live far and the outside world, one of the benefits of social media.
8. How has social media changed your life?
— Has it changed my life? Well, I have more “friends” on facebook than in real life…does that count as change?
When it comes to nominees, I’m sorry to disappoint. The same goes here as mentioned on above…
Now, I’m off to bed!
Good night fellow bloggers!
